01

A useful view, with less exposure

Accounts marked as work show imported events as busy blocks in the shared family view. Meeting titles, descriptions and locations stay out of that view.

  • Work: availability without meeting details.
  • Personal: choose private, busy only, or shared details.
  • Review the sharing preview before changing a setting.
02

Privacy is a setting you can revisit

In your family plan, open Calendar connections & privacy. Check the work/personal classification and sharing preset for each account. Disconnect an account when you no longer want it synchronized.

03

What happens behind the scenes

Chedoo processes calendar data on its servers to prepare your family view. This is not end-to-end encryption. Provider credentials are encrypted by the application; other household and event records are not all covered by application-level encryption. Only connect an employer calendar if its policy allows it.

Choose What Your Family Sees

A setting for each calendar, with a preview before you share.

01

Private, busy only, or shared details

Private excludes that connected calendar from other members’ shared views. Busy only shares time blocks without event details. Shared details makes permitted personal-event information visible to the household. Work-classified calendars remain redacted in the shared view.

02

Check the preview, not just the label

Open Calendar connections & privacy in your family plan. Confirm the account classification, select the preset, and read the “what my family sees” explanation. Review individual commitment visibility as well as the connected-account setting.

03

Guests have a narrower view

Guest access is read-only and restricted to permitted family/kids events. It does not expose private or work calendar details. An administrator can replace or revoke guest links, and each link has an expiry.
