Getting started

Does everyone need to change calendars?

No. You can keep using supported work and personal calendars and connect them to Chedoo. Provider permissions and employer policies can affect which accounts you may connect.

Can we try it before connecting a work calendar?

Yes. Create a household and add a family commitment directly. Invite another adult and agree on responsibility for that event. Connect external calendars when you are ready.

Does every family member need an account?

Adults who manage the plan use their own accounts. Dependent profiles let you include children in commitments without creating a child login. Household member limits depend on your plan.

Can I use Chedoo on my phone?

The website works on phones and computers. Native app availability is announced separately; this site does not offer app-store downloads until they are available.

Calendars & privacy

Which calendars can I connect?

The connection flow supports Google, Microsoft and supported CalDAV providers such as iCloud, Fastmail and Yahoo. Availability depends on provider permissions and configuration. Follow the calendar integration guide for the appropriate sign-in method.

Can my family see my work meeting details?

Imported events from accounts marked as work appear as busy blocks in the shared family view. Review each account’s work/personal classification and sharing preview. Personal accounts have sharing choices, including private and busy-only views.

Is Chedoo end-to-end encrypted?

No. Chedoo processes calendar data on its servers to build the family view. Calendar provider credentials are encrypted by the application; household and event records are not all covered by application-level encryption. Read the data protection page for scope.

What if a calendar stops updating?

Check its connection status and last successful sync before relying on the schedule. Reconnect when requested, and review failed or pending changes. A stale calendar does not prove someone is available.

Can I bring in a school calendar file?

You can review and import an ICS calendar file or text. Check the source, dates and preview before confirming. This import is not an ongoing feed subscription; later school changes may need a new review.

Planning together

Does assigning pickup mean it is confirmed?

No. A request and an accepted handoff are different states. Ask the responsible adult and check their acceptance before treating pickup as agreed.

Can a grandparent or babysitter see the plan?

A household administrator can create a temporary, read-only guest link. Only events permitted for guests appear. Treat the link as access to that view, share it carefully, and revoke it when it is no longer needed.

Does AI automatically book events for us?

No. AI scheduling produces a draft to review. Check the date, time, duration and calendar before saving. You can always add a commitment manually.

What happens when our plans change?

Edit the relevant commitment, review any recurrence scope, and check the responsible adult’s agreement. Provider changes may remain pending until synchronization succeeds.

Plans & support

What does a subscription cover?

A plan covers your household, with limits on family members and connected calendars per member. The pricing page loads the configured plans and Stripe checkout uses the selected plan’s price. Review the amount and billing interval before paying.

Can I manage or cancel my subscription?

Use Manage billing and renewal on the pricing page when your account has a billing subscription. The billing portal shows your available changes and renewal details. Canceling renewal normally preserves access for the paid period.

Can I pay annually?

Annual checkout appears for plans with an annual Stripe price configured. If only monthly prices are available, you can subscribe monthly. No annual discount is assumed or invented.

How do I get help or ask about my data?

Use the contact page to prepare an email. Include the device, calendar provider and what went wrong, but never send passwords, calendar tokens or private meeting details. The privacy policy explains routes for data requests.
